Duplex Electrical Package
A duplex needs metering for two separate dwellings behind one connection, and that changes the box, the panel and how the meters are laid out. EVO Electric packages the two-dwelling metering gear onto a single quote so builders and Level 2 ASPs order for both sides of a duplex at once, fabricated in Sydney and freighted together.
What's typically in a duplex package
Duplex packages centre on a meter box large enough for two meter positions — commonly 600x600 or 600x900 — with a bakelite panel cut to carry both dwellings' metering, twin sealable neutral links, the service fuse and the attachment hardware for the incoming service. Separate boxes per dwelling are an option where the site layout suits.
How the package is specified
Tell us whether the two dwellings share one box or take a box each, the meter count and the network area, and we confirm the box size and panel layout to suit. The panel is cut so each tenancy's metering is clearly separated and labelled, ready for the ASP to terminate.
How ordering and delivery works
The full two-dwelling kit goes on one quote and ships together from Regents Park. We fabricate the boxes and cut the panels in-house so the metering gear for both sides matches. EVO supplies the equipment; the builder's contractors and Level 2 ASP handle the installation and connection.
